Concept
The ABC system protection shelter by ABCguard was developed particularly for the discrete integration into existing buildings as well as into buildings to be built.
ABC system protection shelters are complete underground atomic protection shelters with additional protection against biological and chemical weapons.
Even at a very small distance of only few hundred meters from ground zero (detonation place), the underground ABCguard system protection shelter offers optimum protection against an atom bomb.
In order to be able to produce the system shelter cost-optimized in quantity production, 20 foot steel containers were selected as an ideal basis.
The sturdy - load bearing capacity up to 160 t(SI) - frame structure of the steel containers offers optimum stability for the 40 cm thick (basic model only 30 cm) and up to 30 t heavy reinforced concrete ceiling.
After it has passed the quality inspection, the cutouts for the entry door, the emergency exit, the safety ventilation flaps, gas-proof supply lines, pipes etc. as well as necessary drillings are made in the steel container.
After the all parts, which can be welded, were welded and the steel reinforcements to the external walls as well as on the containers above were welded on, the impermeability of the welding seams is examined.
After the welding seams have passed the quality inspection, the entire container is treated again with a special certified non-corrodible priming. Afterwards, a likewise certified special paint is applied, in order to ensure a long service life of the container.
Now all special fittings (e.g. doors, hatches, ventilation system etc.) are bolted to the container.
A flame resistant floor ensures structural safety of humans and inventory, if necessary beds and chairs.
In addition, unnecessary cost for special transportation is saved owing to the use of standardized external dimensions of the steel containers.
The system shelters are available in different sizes of and versions.
Special requests can be realized within the limits of static permissibility.
